About Us
 Welcome
to Matakohe and the home of Tom and Jenny. We met when Tom
purchased a Cavalier pup off me so when we married, a year
later, Tom gained thirteen dogs and I gained one!
I had been breeding Cavalier King Charles Spaniels since
1989. We are still breeding Cavaliers and also Cocker Spaniels. We started our Boarding Kennels in 1998 - a natural
progression from boarding our Cavalier “family” (puppies and
dogs that we breed who came back for holidays).

 In
2002 we purchased our first Ragdolls, for breeding, from
Margaret Downes (Kiwimagic) and our first kittens were born in
November ’03. We live on 68 hectares - a nice country retreat
for animals. Matakohe is situated on the northern end of the
Kaipara Harbour.
